AuroraMD services targets disorders such as depression, anxiety, social phobia, alcoholism and erectile
dysfunction. Here's why...
Depression:
Depression is the most common psychiatric condition
and a leading cause of disability in the United States. Depression
is treatable yet remains under diagnosed by primary care
physicians. The depression screening tool used by AuroraMD has
a sensitivity of 97%, which gives AuroraMD the power to change
the landscape of depression.
Anxiety Disorders:
Anxiety disorders consume a significant portion
of primary care doctors' resources, accounting for at least 10%
of physician visits. Anxiety can be difficult to identify
the AuroraMD makes identification of anxiety disorders easier and
less ambiguous for primary care physicians.
Social Phobia:
Social phobia is surprisingly common and under
treated. It is estimated that up to 2.4 million sufferers
in the United
States are untreated. Social phobia is often missed in primary
care settings.
Alcoholism:
Screening to detect problem drinking is recommended
by the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality for
all adults. AuroraMD allows physicians to comply with that recommendation.
Erectile Dysfunction:
Only 5% to 10 % of men with erectile dysfunction
seek medical intervention even though effective treatment is
available. AuroraMD services detect erectile dysfunction.
At we are constantly looking to expand and improve our
offering of screening tools to improve health care, in the near
future we plan to add hearing loss, mania, migraines, and smoking
cessation. |
